Bro. David E. Hayden, 66, of Owensboro, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Bro. David E. Hayden, 66, of Owensboro, Ky went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 13, 2013, at his home with Linda by his side. He was born December 3, 1946 in Anniston, Alabama. He was in the ministry for 36 years retiring from Hatfield Baptist Church and also from the Daviess County Board of Education. He is a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church and was a Navy Veteran. He is preceded in death by his father, James E. Hayden, and a nephew, Keith Hayden.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Edmondson Hayden; his mother, Elaine Hayden; brothers, Bill Hayden of Wichita, KS, Bob Hayden of West Louisville, KY, and Joel Hayden and Jerry Hayden both of Owensboro; sisters, Jacquelynn Bossu of Chicago, IL and Charlene Mabry of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro, KY. Burial is in Greenbrier Cemetery in Utica, KY. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday and after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Humane Society, 3101 W. Second Street, Owensboro, KY 42301 or Oneida Baptist Institute, P.O. Box 67, Oneida, KY 40972.
