Ruth Park Leach, 99, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Ruth Park Leach, 99, of Owensboro, KY passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born November 5, 1913 in Narrows, KY to the late Carson and Corine Thomas Park. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. She was the author of the book March Brigade. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oswald H. Leach on January 26, 1994, by a son, James Oswald Leach; and four siblings, Louise McPherson, William C. Park, Eunice Mitchell and Lorane Williams.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Leach and Neil K. Leach; five grandsons, Pat, Matthew, Mark , Scott and Chris Leach and several great grandchildren.

Services are 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, KY. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
