Michael Wayne Kirtley, 67, of Utica, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Michael Wayne Kirtley, 67, of Utica, Ky passed away September 18, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was a native of Daviess County, born August 6, 1946 to the late Norton and Lois Girvin Kirtley. Michael was a 4 year veteran of the Navy during Vietnam.

He also was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Howard and a nephew, Timmy Kirtley.

Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Karen Rone Kirtley of Utica; son, Samuel (Candice) Kirtley of Georgetown; daughters, Tiffany (Brant) Boone of Morgantown and Sarah (Joseph) Newton of Hawesville; grandchildren, Sydney, Devin, Peyton, Sophia, Eden and Claira.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 1 PM at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Afterwards, the family will accept friends at their home.
