Marilyn Ione Toomey Heidingsfelder, 61, of Utica, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Marilyn Ione Toomey Heidingsfelder, 61, of Utica, Ky, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 10, 1952 to Wilbur Lee and Thelma Grace Toomey. She worked with her husband as a pathologist assistant. Mrs. Heidingsfelder was a member of the Ky Colonel Association, and the Snyder School Reunion Committee. She enjoyed collecting antiques, organizing school and family reunions, genealogy research, socializing, was an avid reader, loved music and enjoyed spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. John Allen Heidingsfelder; children, Allison Woods of Lexington, Tennessee, Burl Weedman of Nashville, Tennessee, Clayton Henderson of Utica, John Allen Heidingsfelder, Jr. of Charlottesville, Virginia, Lauren Birch of Greensboro, North Carolina, Jennifer Traore of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Rion, Kara, Johnny, Tommy, Brennan, Abigail, Mimi; siblings, Mark (Darlene) Toomey, Bill (Donna) Toomey, Pam Toomey, Roy (Tara) Toomey and Christy (Byron) Swan.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Hunter officiating and burial to follow in Bells Run Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
