Billy Ray Cauley, 73, of Owensboro, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Billy Ray Cauley, 73, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at his home. He was born January 12, 1940 in Daviess County to the late Lambert and Rilla Smith Cauley Billy was retired from the boilermakers Local 40 after 30 plus years. He enjoyed NASCAR and dirt track racing and loved spending time with his family.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Betty Case Cauley, a great grandson, Chandler Dickenson and five brothers, James L. Jakie, Bobby, Ed and Dent.

He is survived by his children, Carla Cauley Thorpe, Jeffery (Bodiene) Williams, both of Owensboro, Marcia (Randall) Hendricks of Maceo, seven grandchildren, Chris, Codie, Taylor, Katie Jo (Erik) Abbot of Missouri, Jeffery (Kim) Dickinson, Amanda, Tammy and Sara McGehee all of Owensboro, thirteen great grandchildren, a brother, Eldred (Tookey) Cauley of Fordsville, a sister, Martha (Pete) Rolfzen of Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with burial at a later date in Utica Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home.
