Five-Vehicle Collision Injures Several

Accident Injury 01 red 300DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (10/15/13) – At least six people, including three drivers, were treated for injuries following an accident at the intersection of the U.S. 60 bypass and U.S. 60 East Saturday night just before 11:30 p.m.

According to Kentucky State Police Post 16, Daniel Addis, 34, Grandview, Ind., apparently collided with Jerry Oxford, 68, Carmi, who in turn hit Lindsay Shepherd, 21, Owensboro. Both Shepherd and Oxford were stopped in traffic at the intersection. The impact of the collision then apparently pushed Addis' truck into the adjoining left lane into the path of Robin Lewe, 55, Owensboro. Lewe and Addis collided, and Lewe was then struck from behind by Sherry Dudley, 32, Radcliff.

Police said Addis, Lewe, and Dudley, as well as three passengers, were transported to Owensboro Health for treatment of minor injuries. All were released.
