William L. 'Bill' White, 75, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, Ky. - William L. 'Bill' White, 75, of Owensboro, KY passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on Dec. 2, 1937, in McLean County to the late George Lona White and Fannie Keaton White. Bill had worked for Taylor’s Market, Whirlpool in Evansville, Eck Miller Trucking Company, Kentuckiana Livestock, Club and retired from Daviess County Public School System as a bus driver. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a horse racing enthusiast and enjoyed watching UK sports but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was also preceded in death by one infant son, Neal White; three brothers, Jr. White, Lloyd D. Jackson and E. Wayne White; two sisters, Virginia Frakes and Floreane Stevens; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is survived by a son, Robert E. (Mary E.) White of Lexington, Ky., a daughter, Susan C. (Pete) Wilson of Bellevue, Ky.; five grandchildren, Preston White, Lena Wilson, Alex White, Peter Wilson and Aubrey White; and one sister, Loreane Eversole from Owensboro, Ky.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zion United Church of Christ with the Rev. Lori Keller Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Indiana with a graveside service officiated by the Rev. John Schroeder. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.

The family requests in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Christ Hospital, 2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45219 or Zion United Church of Christ, 625 Allen Street, Owensboro, KY 42303.
