Frank Marion Chapman, 72, of Owensboro, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Frank Marion Chapman, 72, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at his home. He was born December 9, 1940 in Daviess County, Ky to the late Frederick Lawrence and Mary Catherine Smith Chapman. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was owner and manager of Quality Containment Company of Owensboro for 20 years and retired in 2009. In his younger years he was involved in Pop Warner football and the Cub Scouts, having served as a coach and as a Webelo leader for several years. He was a loving husband, father and friend who enjoyed Owensboro Catholic High School football, college basketball and football and also NASCAR races. Frank loved the beach and loved to travel, having visited four foreign countries, numerous Caribbean Islands and forty states. He delighted in spending time with his family.

Aside from his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick Lawrence Chapman, Jr. and Gerald Eugene Chapman and one sister, Thelma Ann Chapman Glover.

Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Ann 'Betty' Bolser Chapman, three sons, Gerald Stephen (Lillian) Chapman, of Owensboro, Frank Timothy (Donna) Chapman of Owensboro, Perry Lynn Chapman of Louisiana, one daughter, Kimberly Denice (Michael) Ralph of Owensboro, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and ten nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Brad Whistle officiating and entombment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
