Kathy D. Cox, 57, of Owensboro, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Kathy D. Cox, 57, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on September 5, 1956 in Owensboro to Essie D. Cox and Betty Jean Wilson Cox. She was a member of Garden Green Baptist Church.

Survivors include her parents, Essie and Betty Cox of Owensboro; a brother, Ronnie D. Cox of Owensboro; two sisters, Teresa Barrows of Owensboro and Cyndi Foster (Richard Scott) of Owensboro; eight nieces and nephews, Andrew Dale Cox, Sherri Dawn Rather, Samantha Ann Williams, Henry Edward Barrows IV, Philicia Kimberly Barrows, Nina Kay Driskell, Cassie Mae Barrows, and Mathew Scott Foster; nineteen great nieces and nephews; one great-great-niece; two uncles; one aunt; and her special friend, Lisa Jewell.

Services will be at 7:00p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:00p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Kathy Cox Memorial Fund, c/o James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory, 3009 Frederica Street, Owensboro, Ky 42301.
