Mary Elizabeth Powers, 100, of Owensboro, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Mary Elizabeth Powers, 100, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Owensboro Center. She was born October 8, 1913 in Hancock County to the late Daniel Whitten and Susan Elizabeth Lindsey. Mary was a homemaker, and a member of the former Crabtree Baptist Church in Owensboro.

She also was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Powers Sr., sons, Louis Darrell Powers and Raymond Powers Jr., and a grandson, David Powers.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Kathy Williams, Lanita, Norma, Elizabeth, Kenny, Sherman, Tina Powers and Kristie Melton; several great and great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Powers.

Services will be 10 AM Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Christ Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
