Shay Crabtree 16, of Calhoun, Kentucky

OWENSBORO, KY- Shay Crabtree 16, of 350 High Street; Calhoun, Kentucky died Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System.

Shay Tichenor Crabtree was born May 15, 1995 in Santa Rita, Guam to Bryan Elliott and Lori Ann Howard Crabtree. Shay was a sophomore at McLean County High School where he was a member of the football and basketball teams and a member of Pentecostals of Owensboro. Shay also enjoyed music and sports.

Survivors include his parents, Bryan and Lori Crabtree; five brothers, C.J. Howard, Truth Crabtree, Jaxson Crabtree, Brandon Peay, and Theran Peay all of Calhoun; a sister, Jordin Crabtree of Calhoun; his grandparents, Pat and Carl Jewell of Beech Grove; Curtis Tichenor Crabtree of Owensboro, and Jeannie and Tommy Dant of Owensboro; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Calhoun Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Huff and Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with the Crabtree Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 10:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.

The Shay Crabtree Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Shay Crabtree, Memorial Fund; C/O Muster Funeral Homes; P.O. Box 160; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
