Mary L. Owens Wedding Christian

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Mary L. Owens Wedding Christian was called home on March 17, 2014 to the open arms of her Heavenly Father. She passed on peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was born to the late Nonnie and Odessa Owens on September 6, 1924 in Daviess County, Ky. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sylvester Wedding; a son, Mike Wedding; her second husband, Bud Christian; a sister, Imogene Dixon; a brother, Joe Owens; a stepbrother, Bob Gregson; stepmother, Cecelia Owens; and stepson, Glenn Christian. She retired from General Electric Company. She loved going out to eat and her flowers. She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the Young of Heart.

Surviving are her son and his wife, Robert and Kathy Wedding; daughter and her husband, Mary and Tony McDaniel; a brother and sister-in-law, Al and Lois Owens; a stepdaughter, Alicia and Greg Sweeney; a stepson, Kelly Christian; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services are 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Trinity United Methodist Church, 2815 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, Ky 42303 or to Hospice of Western Ky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, Ky 42301. Special thanks go out to all at the Heartford House and Hospice for her care.
