Robert W. Ralph, 63, of Owensboro

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Robert W. Ralph, 63, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the Heartford House. He was born on June 30, 1950 in Daviess County, Ky. to the late James and Veronica Stallings Ralph. He was employed with Sonoco Products in Henderson as a maintenance mechanic. Ralph was a member of Christ Community Church and the Stanley Masonic Lodge #878. He was a U. S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his grandchildren and watching them play in their various sports. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Mary Agnes Lancaster and Beatrice Westerfield and brothers, George and Gene Ralph.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Sinda Girtman Ralph; his son, Robert “Robby” Ralph, Jr. (Jamie) of Newman; his daughter, Tisha Kelly (Mike) of Owensboro; eight grandchildren, Ryan Ralph, Colton Dennis, Jaden and Bryson Kelly, Destiny Key, Tristan and Lee Pollock, and Kaylyn Marksberry; two sisters, Ruth Squire and Polly Tipton, both of Owensboro; three brothers, Tom Ralph (Marie) of Owensboro, James Ralph (Glenda) of Evansville, and Joe Ralph (Iris) of Owensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Ky., 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, Ky. 42301 or to the American Cancer Society, 1302 Frederica St., Owensboro, Ky. 42303.
