Mabel Hill, 80, Calhoun, Ky.

CALHOUN, Ky. (4/11/14) — Mabel Hill, 80, of 570 West Fourth Street, Calhoun, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun.

She was born Jan. 22, 1934 in McLean County, Ky., to the late Marvin J. and Pauline Crabtree Hancock and was married to Townes Estil Hill June 27, 1957. Mabel had many occupations in the area, including working for 21 years at General Electric, a bus driver for McLean County Schools for 16 years, and made and sold cakes. In addition to her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Estil Hill, who passed away Feb. 13, 2007.

Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Alexander of Calhoun, two grandchildren, Chris Alexander and Hillary Alexander both of Calhoun, and a brother, Noah Hancock of Calhoun.

Graveside services will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Calhoun Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Berggren officiating. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the funeral arrangements for the Hill Family.
