Ralph Cons, Jr., 86, Owensboro, Ky.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (4/21/14) — Ralph Cons, Jr., 86, of Owensboro, Ky., passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Heartford House in Owensboro, Ky.

He was born Jan. 28, 1928 in Los Angeles, Calif., to the late Ralph and Viola Cons. He was retired from the U.S. Army with rank of Master sergeant and was in the 82nd and the 101st Air Borne Division. He was a veteran of WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. Ralph preformed over 850 parachute jumps during his career in the military.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Willow Mae Cons, two children, Greg Dues and his wife, Rose Dues, Christa Dues Barker and her husband, Kevin Barker, one grandson, Brandon Dues (currently following his Grandfather's footsteps in the Military, Special Operations), three granddaughters, Michelle Crask Hurst, Kelly Dues Taliaferro and Jessica Dues and two great grandchildren, Macy Egner and Gideon Taliaferro.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Immaculate Catholic Church in Owensboro. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro, with full military honors. Visitation is Monday April 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro, with prayers 7:30 p.m., and from 9 - 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
