Joan J. Lee, 81, Livermore, Ky.

LIVERMORE, Ky. (5/5/14) — Joan J. Lee 81, of 2400 Kentucky 1080; Livermore, Ky., passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Ohio County Hospital.

She was born in Rumsey, Ky., to the late Claudie and Sybel Rudd Johnston Jan. 6, 1933. She married Thomas Glenn Lee, Dec. 20, 1961 and retired from the McLean County School System after teaching for 30 years. She was a member of Calhoun Christian Church, the National Rifleman's Association, the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association and the Mclean County Retired Teachers, and a charter member of the International J.I. Case Heritage Foundation. She enjoyed farming and working outdoors and mowed and cared for the Old Buck Creek Cemetery for 27 years, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary E. Shourds.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Thomas G. Lee; a brother, Frank Johnston, Sr. and his wife Loretta of Owensboro; a nephew; four nieces; and two special friends, Betty Bowman and Carolyn May.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Buck Creek Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Joan's family from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Monday at Musters in Livermore.

The family of Joan J. Lee asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to either Old Buck Creek Cemetery or Buck Creek Baptist Cemetery Fund; C/O Tim Bowman; 3567 Barrett Hill Road; Livermore, Ky. 42352. Envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore.
