Carolyn S. Pruden, 72, of Owensboro

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Carolyn S. Pruden, 72, of Owensboro passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, at Heartford House. She was born on August 28, 1941, in Owensboro to the late Henry Pruden and Gladys Williams Pruden. Carolyn worked at Velvet Milk Company, Central Bank & Trust and Field Packing. She loved planting flowers, reading, University of Kentucky Basketball, and needlework. Carolyn was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Calvin Ray Pruden; sisters, Sarah Mae Pruden and Mary Lucille Pruden; and her special dog, Precious.

Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth Faye Peppers; a brother, Gerald Pruden; niece, Jennifer (Annon) Dorton; nephew, Jeff (Shady) Pruden; a great-niece, Rue Dorton; and two great-nephews, Logan Pruden and Asa Dorton.

Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday after 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church Building Fund, 4950 Hwy 56, Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
