Mary Ann Blandford, 77, of Owensboro

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Mary Ann Blandford, 77, of Owensboro, passed away July 10, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1937, in Owensboro to the late Edward and Mary Lucille Simon Goetz. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.

Aside from her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Mark Edward Green and a brother, Fred Goetz.

Surviving is her husband, James H, “Jack” Blandford; a daughter, Mary Beth (Bobby) Edge; five sons, Steve (Marianne) Green, Jeff (Tina) Green, Michael Green, David (Angie) Green, Chris (Carrie) Green; four stepsons, Keith (Kathy) Blandford, Barry (Kathy) Blandford, Joe Blandford, Kenny (Kathy) Blandford; twenty-two grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris (Doug) Clark; and four brothers, Eddie (Suzanne) Goetz Jr., Bob (Pat) Goetz, Tom (Mary Beth) Goetz and Jerry (Lucy) Goetz.

Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with Father Mark Buckner officiating and burial to follow in St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Prayers will be said Sunday at 5:00 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, Ky. 42301 or to St. Mary Magdalene Education Fund, 7232 Kentucky 56, Owensboro, Ky. 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
