Ruby Gaddis 84, of Owensboro, Kentucky

OWENSBORO, KY - Ruby Gaddis 84, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System.

Ruby Ferne Chappell was born October 3, 1927 in Breckenridge County, Kentucky to the late Charles Roscoe and Flora Ellen Stilwell Chappell and was married to Eulice Clifton Gaddis, Sr. on April 1, 1946. Ruby was a homemaker and a member of the Glenville Baptist Church. She enjoyed caring for her flowers, feeding the birds, and caring for her dog, Penny. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Eulice Gaddis, Sr., who passed away February 1, 2006 and by a son, Randy Glenn Gaddis, who passed away in 1979.

Survivors include four sons, Eulice Gaddis, Jr. of Calhoun, Larry Gaddis, Ricky Gaddis both of Owensboro, and Terry Gaddis of Henderson; three daughters, Janet Moore of Livermore, Brenda Hulsey, and Shelia Floyd both of Calhoun; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; a great great grandson; and a brother, Earl Chappell of California.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Charles Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with the Gaddis Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Ruby Gaddis Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Calhoun Cemetery, Beautification Fund; C/O Winfred Williams; P.O. Box 201; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
