James Ervin Moore, 86, Beaver Dam

 

obit14OWENSBORO, KY - James Ervin Moore, 86, Beaver Dam, went home to be with the Lord at 12:05 p.m. Monday, November, 21, 2011, at the Kentucky Veteran’s center in Hanson, Ky.

He was born February 23, 1925, in Simons, KY, the son of the late Levi and Gladys Mitchell Moore.

He was also preceded in death by his Brothers, William (Bill) Moore and Leonard Moore, a sister Grace Moore Ford all of Beaver Dam and one grandson Kevin James Coomes of Henderson.

James was a US Navy WWII veteran that served both his country and the lord. He was a pastor at Gillyville Baptist Church and was a member of Lonestar Baptist church. He was retired from Whirlpool after 33 years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years, Mary Lucille Chancellor Moore of Beaver Dam, 7 children, four daughters Joan (James) Maraman of Henderson, KY, Theresa (Tommy) Wilson, Sue (Garnett) Baize both of Beaver Dam, KY and Debbie (Dutch) Walters of Corydon, KY, three sons, Jimmy (Linda) Moore of Newburgh, In, Darrell (Jeannette) Moore of Beaver Dam, KY and Monty Moore of Hartford, KY; 15 Grandchildren, 13 step Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

His homegoing celebration will be at 2 pm. Friday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, KY. Visitation will be 10:00 -2 p.m. The Rev. Mayer Vanbussom will officiate. Burial with Military rites will be in Lonestar Cemetery near Centertown, KY.
