Marc Wayne Benson, 53, of Owensboro

 

blueskyOWENSBORO, KY - Marc Wayne Benson, 53, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System.

He was born in Daviess County on August 10, 1958 to the late Jack Benson and Helen Maxine Puckett, who survives. Marc had worked as a Heating and Air Technician since 1976 and worked the past 15 years with Hagerman Plumbing and Heating. He loved his fish and cats and especially enjoyed fishing at Carpenter Lake and loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his sons, Jordan Benson and Kevin Benson both of Owensboro and Roger Daugherty of Alabama; a daughter, Marci Montgomery and her husband, Derek, of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Braxton Benson and Ashton and Aaron Daugherty; two sisters, Danielle Woodward and her husband, Brad, of Owensboro and Allison Benson of Elizabethtown; the children's mother, Lori Benson of Owensboro; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00a.m. until 2:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Humane Society, 3101 W. Second Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
