Ruby Shelton, 76, of Owensboro, KY

 

flower03OWENSBORO, KY - Ruby Shelton, 76, of Owensboro, KY passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on December 4, 2011,

Mrs. Shelton was born in Lawrence Co, Mo. on February 22, 1935 to the late Mr. Earn and Tressie Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years O. L. “Joe” Shelton Jr, and three brothers.

Mrs. Shelton was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith, who loved spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Shelton is survived by three daughters, JoAnn (Gary) Rice of Maceo, KY,; Sandy Shelton and Rita (Charlie)Wimsatt and two sons, Nick (Alice) Shelton and Kevin (Jennifer) Shelton all of Owensboro; three sisters, Claudine (Joseph) Blandford of Owensboro, Frances Johnson of Concho, AZ and Judy Johnson of Owensboro, two brothers, Fred (Ann) Johnson of Owensboro and Gary (Brenda) Johnson of Selah, WA.; Ten Grandchildren and Eleven Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday December 7, 2011 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Father Mark Buckner officiating.

Burial will be in the Glennville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday December 6, 2011 at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Glennville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, the envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
