OWENSBORO, KY - James Dale Bartlett, 69, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System.
He was born in Owensboro, KY on December 27, 1941 to the late James H. Bartlett and Alida M. Sharp Bartlett. He was retired from Bartlett's Mobile Home Transportation and was a member of Bethabara Baptist Church. Dale loved horses, and was well-known in the field of cutting horses both as a showman and a judge and held memberships in the KCHA, ICHA, and NCHA. He also enjoyed UK Basketball, NASCAR and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby James Bartlett on April 19, 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Linda C. Bartlett; two sons, Danny Bartlett (Lisa) and Leslie Bartlett (Casey); a daughter, Vicky McGehee (Jeff); a daughter-in-law, Carrie Bartlett; eleven granddaughters, Magan Bartlett, Melissa Bartlett, Andrea McGehee, Gabrielle Dean, Sarah McGehee, Noele Vaughn, Anna Mayeux, Lacey Bartlett, Kaylee Bartlett, Ashlee Bartlett, and Hailee Bartlett; three grandsons, Dylan Bartlett, Kyle Bartlett, and Mason Bartlett; two great-grandchildren, Emily Vaughn and Noah McGehee.
Services will be at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. at the funeral home.
