Wadena E. Maddox, 68, of Owensboro, Kentucky

 

obit19OWENSBORO, KY - Wadena E. Maddox, 68, of Owensboro, Kentucky, took Jesus by the hand and went home to be with Him on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System.

She was born in Rusk County, Wisconsin to the late Melvin and Marguerite Gunn. She retired from the Produce Department of Wal-Mart and attended Good Shepherd Church. She enjoyed sewing, sports, U.K. basketball, gospel music and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Elroy Janota and by a nephew, Brian Gunn.

She is survived by a son, Glenn Maddox (Rachel) of Owensboro; three daughters, Brenda Jones (Tim) of Utica, KY, Faith Maddox of Owensboro and Charlee Maddox of Beaver Dam, KY; four grandchildren, Jennifer Jones, Chris Jones, Jessica Maddox and Joshua Maddox; a great-granddaughter, McKenzie Jones; four brothers, Keith Gunn (Joan) and Clayton Gunn (Rosemary) both of Chippewa Falls, WI, Rodney Gunn (JoAnne) of Altona, WI and Lowell Gunn "Joe" of New Auburn, WI and a sister, Beverly Janota of Sturtevant, WI.

Services are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Apollo Heights Baptist Church, 2322 Tamarack Road, Owensboro, KY. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho, KY. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro.
