Billy E. Winstead, 74, of Henderson

obit10HENDERSON, KY - Billy E. Winstead, 74, of Henderson passed away at 5:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at his home under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.

He was born in Sebree on March 28, 1937, to Lloyd Albert and Martha Lucille Mitchell Winstead.

He was retired from the Laborers Union Local 561 Industrial Contractors. He was a UK basketball fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Albert Winstead.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Fuquay Winstead; his mother, Lucille Winstead of Sebree; one daughter, Stacy Winstead Hendricks and her husband, Jeff, of Owensboro; one son, Steve Winstead and his wife, Kim, of Irvington, Ala.; two brothers, Bobby Winstead and his wife, Betty, of Poole and Gary Winstead and his wife, Patricia, of Dixon; four grandchildren, Lauren Powell, Kayla Winstead, Aubry Hendricks and Makenna Hendricks; two great-grandchildren, Caden and Landon Powell; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. The Rev. Hollis Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice.
