Layce Ann Kassinger, 57, of Rockport, Kentucky

1flowerOWENSBORO, KY - Layce Ann Kassinger, 57, of Rockport, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System.

She was born January 10, 1954 in LaGrange, Kentucky to the late Frank Timberlake Jr. and June Chilton Lindsey. She was a graduate of Daviess County High School, attended Radiology School where she won the prestigious Mallinkcrodt Award in Radiology, then returned to school to graduate from Kentucky Wesleyan College with a degree in English Literature. She traveled and had a long and successful career in Radiology. She then changed career paths and helped open the Ohio Literacy Center where she worked passionately to end illiteracy in Kentucky.

Her proudest accomplishment was her beautiful daughter, Emily June Kassinger of Owensboro. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her husband Dennis Kassinger of Rockport, KY, two sisters, Patricia June Lindsey of Owensboro, sister, Beth Lindsey King and husband, Roy King along with niece, Myriah King and nephew Riley King of Satusma, Al., One brother, Frank T. Lindsey III and wife, Valerie Kerby Lindsey of Owensboro.

Visitation will be held from 1:00PM-6:00PM, Sunday, December 11, 2011 at William L. Danks Funeral in Beaver Dam.
