Irma E. Roehm, 90, of Owensboro, Kentucky

OWENSBORO, KY - Irma E. Roehm, 90, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System.

She was born on April 28, 1921 in Illinois to the late Emmett V. and Martha Pauline Tichenor. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and retired from General Electric Company. She lived for her daughter and was a good Christian woman. She was a seamstress, enjoyed gardening and was a member of a square dance club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Al" Roehm, on January 14, 1992, by her son-in-law, Ken Bernard and by three brothers, Albert, John and Matthew Tichenor.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha "Marty" Bernard of Owensboro; her brother, Perry Tichenor of Bowling Green, KY; a sister-in-law, Louella Williams of Philpot, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Services are at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Philpot, KY. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery, c/o Bryce Roberts, 8006 Jack Hinton Road, Philpot, KY 42366.
