Elizabeth Jane Sosh, 88, of Tyler, TX, formerly of Owensboro

 

obit16OWENSBORO, KY - Elizabeth Jane Sosh, 88, of Tyler, TX, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Meadow Lake Nursing Home in Tyler, TX.

She was born on March 14, 1923 in St. Joseph, Kentucky to the late Herman and Nettie Abell. She had been employed as a dietary supervisor and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. She was a funny, sweet person who will be missed greatly by family and friends. She enjoyed quilting, had a wonderful garden and showed and rode horses.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Sosh, on July 7, 2005.

She is survived by two sons, Terry A. Sosh (Sue) of The Villages, FL and Joseph A. Sosh (Janet) of Bullard, TX; her daughter, Mary Ann Phillips of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Aaron Phillips, Brittney Phillips, Adam Phillips, Shane Sosh, Michelle Sosh and James Sosh; a great grandchild, Jackson Wisehart; a brother-in-law, Ottrell Reisz of Owensboro and sister-in-law, Marie Boyd of Owensboro.

Services are at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church in Owensboro. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Church Cemetery in Utica, Kentucky. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, where prayers will be said at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
