James Hudinall Floyd, 69

 

obit7OWENSBORO, KY - James Hudinall Floyd, 69, of 1140 Kentucky 138 East; Rumsey, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his home.

James Hudinall Floyd was born September 25, 1942 in McLean County, Kentucky to James A. and Mary Agnes Rightmyer Floyd and was married to the former Wanda Cheryle Robertson on June 25, 1962. James Hudinall worked for over 41 years for the Crounse Corporation, and for the last 12 years for Yager Materials. He was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church, where he also served as a deacon and enjoyed spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

James Hudinall was preceded in death by his father, James A. Floyd.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Cheryle Floyd; four daughters and their husbands, Mishiele Floyd Coomes and Albert of Owensboro, Leta Floyd Partlow and Greg of Livermore, Karen Floyd Brooks of Owensboro, and Nisa Floyd Harper and Scott of Calhoun; eleven grandchildren, April Coomes Fulkerson (Mark), Adam Coomes (Ashlee), Drew Partlow (Becca), Kaitlin Partlow, Whitney Brooks (Lamar), Aaron Brooks (Ashley), Cameron Brooks (Amanda), Leah Harper (Andrew), Jeana Harper, Travis Harper, and Jillian Harper; six great grandchildren, Kaylee Fulkerson, Kaden Fulkerson, Korbin Fulkerson, Xavier Coomes, Atticus Partlow, and Kellan Owen; his mother, Mary Floyd of Calhoun; three brothers, Gary Floyd, Jan Floyd both of Calhoun, and Kent Floyd of Cookeville, Tennessee; and two sisters, Marsha Fulkerson and Linda Winn both of Calhoun.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Sam Beeny officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Elba. Friends may visit with the Floyd Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Friday at Musters in Calhoun.

The James Hudinall Floyd Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Christmas Wish; C/O WBKR; 3301 Frederica Street; Owensboro, Kentucky 42301. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
