obit11OWENSBORO, KY - Edward Basham, 93, of Hickory Community in Ohio County, Kentucky, passed away, Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Maple Manor Healthcare and Rehab in Greenville, Kentucky. He was born November 14, 1918 to the late Andrew and Golda Atchison Basham. He was an Army Veteran during World War II, a self-employed farmer, and a member of Hickory Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sophia Miller Basham, three brothers, Driscal Basham, T.L. Basham and Darrell Basham, and one sister, Velira Basham.

Survivors include one sister, Louise Moore of Bremen, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1PM Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday and from 9AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
