Terry Chambers 62, of Calhoun, Kentucky

 

obit19CALHOUN, KY - Terry Chambers 62, of Calhoun, Kentucky passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, Kentucky.

Terry Allen Chambers was born March 14, 1949 in Calhoun, Kentucky to the late Wavis and Evelyn Riggs Chambers and was married to the former Betty Sue Sallee on March 1, 1969. Terry worked at the former York Manufacturing Plant in Madisonville, was a member of the Calhoun Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion for more than 30 years and also enjoyed fishing and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Betty Chambers; a son, Scott Sallee of Paducah; a daughter, Kerry Chambers of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Shawna Austill, Keisha Thurman, and Ryan Sallee; and three sisters, Linda Gish of Bremen, Judy Logsdon of Poplar Grove, and Carolyn Chambers of Madisonville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Bishop Scott Sallee officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415. Friends may visit with Terry’s Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 10:30 A.M. until time of services Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Terry Chambers Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Terry Chambers, Memorial Fund; C/O Muster Funeral Homes; P.O. Box 160; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
