OWENSBORO, KY - Grace Cambron Rafferty, 73, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 26, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System.
She was born on May 18, 1938 in Hancock County, Kentucky to the late Iva and Mary Dorothy Cambron. She had been employed in the lunchroom at Burns Elementary School, employed by the Cigar Factory and was a farmer. She was a member of Brushy Fork Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her Bible, gardening and yardwork.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford Lee Rafferty; a sister, Barbara Boehmann and a brother, Charles Cameron.
She is survived by a son, Donald Ray Rafferty and fianceé, Eugenia Edgell; a daughter, Mary Grace Woodward and husband, Kenny; a stepson, Clifton Rafferty; five grandchildren, Aaron Rafferty, Brittany Rafferty, Katherine Raylee Woodward, Emily Woodward and Christopher Woodward; two step-grandchildren, Krystal and Jamie Rafferty; brothers, Clyde Cambron (Anita), Robert Cambron (Connie), and Jimmy Cambron (Ann) all of Lewisport and Joseph Cambron (Debra) of Milton, FL and sisters, Brenda Brown (June) of Hawesville, KY, Mary Ann Hubbard (Larry), Bertha Finney and Maggie Craig (Wayne) all of Lewisport, Edith Bennett (Terry) and Pauline Roberts (Everett) both of Maceo, KY and Elizabeth Kelly of Nicholasville, KY.
Services are at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Brushy Fork Cemetery in Daviess County, KY. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
