OWENSBORO, KY - Dean Kassinger 73, of 205 West Sixth Street; Livermore, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System.
Morton Dean Kassinger was born October 12, 1938 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Jack and Haley Daugherty Kassinger. He retired from Alcoa, Warrick Operations, was a member of the Army National Guard of Kentucky, serving active duty in Fort Stewart, Georgia, and a member of the Livermore Missionary Baptist Church. Dean also enjoyed University of Kentucky Basketball and watching the squirrels.
Survivors include three sons, Kerry Kassinger (Scott Ramage) of Madisonville, Keith Kassinger (Joy), and Kraig Kassinger (Beth) both of Livermore; six grandchildren, Airman Dillon Kassinger, Haley Kassinger, Brooke Kassinger, Zack Kassinger, Sara Goff, and Amanda Goff; his friend and mother of his children, Charlotte K. Brooks of Calhoun; two brothers, Jim Kassinger of Owensboro and Quay Kassinger of Island; and three sisters, Audrey Tanner of Livia, Belle Austin of Calhoun, and Alice Morris of Paducah.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Clive Bell officiating. Burial will be in the Green River Memorial Gardens in Livermore with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415. Friends may visit with Dean’s Family from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Thursday at Musters in Livermore.
