Elizabeth Bradshaw Wells Heishman, 95, formerly of Owensboro, KY

 

crossflowersOWENSBORO, KY - Elizabeth Bradshaw Wells Heishman, 95, formerly of Owensboro, KY passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Dogwood Retreat in Hartford, KY.

She was born on December 16, 1916 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Robert William Wells and Henry Allen Wells. She was a 1936 graduate of Daviess County High School. She was employed by Ken-Rad during the 1940's, by the dentist office of Dr. Paul Held, by Molly Gold at Gold's Pawn Shop and by Goldman's Pawn Shop for 28 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Genesis Church. She loved the Lord, her grandchildren, gardening, animals, being outdoors and the American Indians. She never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Stephen Heishman on April 28, 1973; by her twin sister, Virginia Wells Miles on September 10, 2009; by her two brothers, Robert Williams Wells, Jr. and Joseph Allen Wells and by her former husband, Robert L. Heishman in 1989.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Jean Drury of Hartford, KY; two grandsons, Paul B. Drury of Owensboro and Charles P. Drury, II (Karrie) of Auburn, KY; a great grandson, Colin Wells Drury; a sister, Rebecca Wells Duncan of Stanley, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Services are at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2012, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the donor's favorite charity.
