William Dean Watson, Jr., 61, of Owensboro

 

obit7OWENSBORO, KY - William Dean Watson, Jr., 61, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center.

He was born on October 22, 1950 in Daviess Co., KY. Dean had been raised in Fourth Street Baptist Church, was an Owensboro High School graduate and enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to Gospel music, and long drives in the country. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Dean Watson, Sr.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Johnnie Harris Watson, his mother, Anice Watson of Louisville, two sons, Antonio Harris and William “Chez” Watson, both of Owensboro, four daughters, Alfreda McKenzie of Atlanta, GA, and Deanna Watson, Clarice Harris, and Terrell Harris, all of Owensboro, 20 grandchildren, Charidee and Moneshia Harris, Whitney, Jayson, Kaitlin, and Kaylee Watson, Sequoia, Ta-Rica, and Cayden Harris, Darion Riley, Keshay, Demerria, and Keymauri Watson, Brianna McKenzie, Asyia Harris, Katasia, Cierra, and Haley Berry, Alayshia Harris, and Brenden McKenzie, and two sisters, Janet Finger and Sylvia Watson, both of Louisville.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 8, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Ronald Holmes, Rev. Larry Lewis, and Rev. Clarence Tapp officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
