Lydia M. Gipe, 101, of Owensboro, Kentucky

 

OWENSBORO, KY - Lydia M. Gipe, 101, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on May 6, 1910 in Owensboro to the late Murray J. and Blanche Mayfield. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Miller Gipe, Sr. in 1990; by two sons, Charles Miller Gipe, Jr. and Robert Ernest Gipe and by a grandson, Nathan Gipe.

She is survived by her son, Fred Gipe of Davis, CA; her daughter, Charlene Martin of Patterson, NY; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Memorial services are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses, 2208 Tamarack Road, Owensboro, KY. Visitation is from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.
