Michael D. (Mike) Bidwell, 57, of Owensboro

 

OWENSBORO, KY - Michael D. (Mike) Bidwell, 57, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Owensboro to the late Luther J. and Mary Marie Bidwell.

Mike was employed as the supervisor of Hillcrest Golf Course for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR. Mike was of the Baptist faith and loved to spend time with his only granddaughter, Chloe.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Deloris Ann Goins and Janice Faye Bidwell; a brother, Charles Wayne Bidwell and an aunt, Ada Hanks.

Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carolyn (Early) Bidwell; two daughters, Amy Bidwell and Dustie Barnett (Tim); a son, Tristan Bidwell; granddaughter, Chloe; sister, Barbara Shadwick (Bob) all of Owensboro and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. The Rev. Jack Carter will officiate. Burial will be at Lewisport Cemetery in Lewisport, KY. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00 until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 1302 Frederica Street Owensboro, KY 42301.
