Winona Kimmell, 83 of Owensboro

 

OWENSBORO, KY - Winona Kimmell, 83 of Owensboro passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at her home. She was born on January 9, 1929 in Greenville, KY. to the late W.L. Casebier and Bernice Hatcher Casebier.

She was retired from General Electric after 42 years as quality controller. She was a member of the Baptist Faith, Thruston Homemakers. She enjoyed watching baseball, playing bunco, watching game shows and reading.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Curtis, Carroll Wayne and Walton Casebier; her sisters, Myrl Vaught Pauline (Polly) Brumley and Virginia Doris Casebier.

Surviving are her two children, Angie (Wayne) Dennis of Owensboro, Ky. and Kent (Carolyn) Kimmell of Wanette, Oklahoma; Her grandchildren, Brandon (Meghan) Dennis, Kim Dennis, Zach Dennis and Alan Kimmell; her great-granddaughter, Addyson Violet Dennis; Surviving sisters, Mary Leonard and Hazel Vaught both of Owensboro, KY. and Martha (Tip) Almond of Athens, Georgia; Surviving brothers, Bob (Nell) Casebier of Owensboro and Roy (Marcella) Casebier of Louisville, KY.

Services will be 1:00pm Friday January 20, 2012 at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home.

Visitation at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday and from 11:00am to 1:00pm Friday at the funeral home.

Burial be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Reverend Bob Milburn will officiate.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301-9989
