Eugene (Stan) Perry Jr. 50, of Owensboro

 

OWENSBORO, KY - Eugene (Stan) Perry Jr. 50, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, January, 17th, 2012 in Davenport Iowa.

Stan was born in Owensboro KY to the late Eugene Stanley Perry Sr. and Shirley (Smith) Perry. He was a 1979 graduate of Daviess County High School and also attended the University of Kentucky. Stan realized that he attended UK by mistake, as he was such a passionate Louisville Cardinals fan! Stan was a very social person who was known to many as “Stan the Man”. He loved boating, travel, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Stan worked for Estes Express Lines where he had been a Hub Driver for the last 14 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a niece, Faith Crisp and a nephew, Jake Wesley Crisp.

Stan is survived by two daughters, Savannah Perry of Boulder CO and Jordan Perry of Nashville TN; a son, Brandon Gardner of Owensboro; two sisters, Julie (Brad) Crisp and Debbie (Jeff) Hicks both of Owensboro; a granddaughter, Payton Gardner of Owensboro; a niece, Kennedy Crisp and nephews Easton Crisp, Matt and Jacob Hicks.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 21st, 2012 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Dr. Greg Faulls will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 3:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
