Barbara Jane Ford Cooper, 72, of Owensboro

 

OWENSBORO, KY - Barbara Jane Ford Cooper, 72, of Owensboro, went to be the the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Hermitage Care & Rehab.

She was born May 26, 1939 in Daviess County, KY to the late Randolph Ford and Lillian Snodgrass Ford. She was retired from Owensboro Medical Health System after 31 years where she was the recipient of the Presidential Award from the hospital and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Cooper enjoyed cooking and especially gatherings with friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Coleman Cooper, Sr., her children, Cathy Cooper, Cynthia Greenwell, her fiancé Scott Hammonds, Coleman (Donna) Cooper, Jr., all of Owensboro, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Wanda Payne and Shirley Wilkey both of Owensboro. She will be sadly missed also by a host of many other family members and friends.

Services will be 1:00pm Monday January 23, 2012 at First Free Will Baptist Church, with Reverend Tim Hall officiating and burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00pm Sunday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and from 10:00am to 12:30pm Monday at the funeral home.
