Barbara Lee (Bobbie) Jenkins Emberton, 61, of Owensboro, KY

OWENSBORO, KY - Barbara Lee (Bobbie) Jenkins Emberton, 61, of Owensboro, KY passed away Monday, January 23, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

She was born April 22, 1950 in Daviess County, Kentucky. She was the bookkeeper and part owner of Emberton Machine & Tool Company and a member of Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church. Bobbie always had a smile on her face. She loved her husband, her grandson, John David and her only son, John Jr., more than words can describe. For the past 30 years, she enjoyed playing Bunco on New Years Eve with the same friends, year after year. We're all going to miss Bobbie so very much.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lydia Hagan Jenkins; her father, Elbert H. Jenkins and her brother, David Jenkins.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John L. Emberton, whom she married on June 6, 1969; her son, John Emberton, Jr. (Kim Nicholson) of Owensboro; grandson, John David Emberton of Owensboro; four sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Redding (Ronnie), Janice Conrey (Tom), Martha Tichenor (David) and Marylinne Swift and three brothers, Martin Ray Jenkins (Sherry), William Earl Jenkins and Carl Anthony Jenkins (Carrol) and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro with Reverend Carl McCarthy officiating. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the donor's favorite charity.
