Donald Wayne Gower Sr., 76 of Henderson, Ky

obit gowerHENDERSON, KY - Donald Wayne Gower Sr., 76 of Henderson, Ky passed away Friday May 4, 2012 at his residence.

He was born September 8, 1935 in Henderson County, KY to the late Andrew Boyd and Golda Gower. He was a member of Watson Lane Baptist Church and a Mason. He owned and operated Hollywood Painting Company.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ronnie Gower.

He is survived by his wife Betty Gower; 3 daughters; Glenda (Timothy) Gower Black of Henderson, KY; Connie Gower Benally of New Mexico; Amy (Perry) Gower Amos of Lafayette, IN; 1 son Wayne (Dagney) Gower, Jr. of Henderson County, KY; 2 Step sons; Bobby (Yvette) Poole of Henderson, KY; Richard A. Poole of Henderson County, KY; 1 brother; Boyd Gower of Owensboro, KY; 1 sister; Marie Gish of Henderson, KY; 11 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday May 8, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Dr. Hollis Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY.

Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Tuesday from 9:00 until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Black, John Gary, Ronnie Peak, David Peak, Keith Poole, and Abby Black.

Memorial Contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
