HENDERSON, KY - Doris A. Williams, 85, Evansville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at her home.

She was born Jan. 28, 1926, in Henderson to the late Al C. and Rose Keysor Arnett.

She was a graduate of Corydon High School and the University of Evansville. She was a nurse for 22 years at St. Mary's Medical Center and Little Sisters of the Poor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, researching family history and gardening.

Doris was preceded in death by one son, John A. Williams; one brother, Tom Arnett; and one sister, Ruth Bengert.

Survivors include two sons, Samuel Scott Williams and Marcia Kendle, and Charles F. Williams and his wife, Rhonda; five grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Kimberly Williams-Eden, Terese Williams, Nicholas Williams and Madison Williams; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Alexander East Chapel in Evansville. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Evansville.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
