Mary Elizabeth Stout-Spelbring, 71, Uniontown

Mary was a lady with great love for her family. She was the heart of her family, providing them a lifetime of precious memories. Going to her house and smelling the aroma of something good cooking was a treasure. She enjoyed baking, cooking, collecting Precious Moments and creating flower arrangements. Over her lifetime, she owned three businesses: a restaurant, a beauty salon and an exercise salon. She enjoyed working in the public, meeting people and helping them in any way she could.

She was preceded in death by one son, John Edward Stout II, and her first husband, John Edward Stout.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Spelbring; one daughter, Mary Ann Rowley and her husband, Donald, of Pride, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Sara Spelbring and her husband, Eric Ridenour, of Evansville and Johna Priester and her husband, Derrick, of Louisville; one stepson, Andy Spelbring and his wife, Angie, of Evansville; two grandchildren, Donald Louis Rowley II of Sturgis and John Robert Rowley and his fiancee, Ashton Glazebrook, of Sturgis; and two great-grandchildren, Aaron Louis Rowley and Kayleigh Ann Rowley.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. The Rev. Mark Allen and Chaplain Mary Wrye will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
