DUE TO HEAVY SNOWS IN WESTERN KENTUCKY...WIDESPREAD 6 TO 12 INCH SNOWFALL AMOUNTS HAVE HAULTED AREA TRAVEL. ISOLATED 15 INCH AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED. DRIFTS UP TO A FOOT AND A HALF HAVE ALSO BEEN REPORTED. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION AND TRAVEL SHOULD BE AVOIDED IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. (National Weather Service)

HENDERSON, KY - Cosby D. Moore, age 93, of Robards, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Nellodyne Elizabeth Whitledge Moore, his parents, William Wornie and Laura Mae Moore, and 10 brothers and sisters.

Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Army from 1942 until 1945, and spent his working life farming. He was a member of Fairview Church of Christ, Dixon, KY. He loved spending time with his family, UK basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Survivors include: 1 Son: Grover T. Moore and his wife Carolyn of Robards, KY; 3 Grandchildren: Deena Marie Carter and her husband Joseph Alan of Robards, KY, Krista Renae Shields and her husband Robert Lewis of Owensboro, KY, Christopher Thomas Moore his wife Kristen Lea of Henderson, KY; 5 Great Grandchildren: Blake, Parker, Cali, Addie and Abram, all of Henderson, KY; Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Tapp Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. Bro. Rex Childs will officiate assisted by Bro. Gary Puryear. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Poole, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.

Friends may call from 3:30 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at Tapp Funeral Home, Henderson, KY.
