HENDERSON, KY - James Robert Overfield, 89, of Henderson, KY passed away Friday October 26, 2012 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh.

He was born in Dixon, Kentucky to Robert Vogel and Annie Allen Overfield on December 10, 1922. He retired from Boots Manufacturing in Evansville in 1987. He was of the Methodist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margie Kathleen (Davis) Overfield in 2011.

He is survived by 1 Son: Jimmy Ray Overfield and Julie Hoalt of Henderson; 1 Daughter: Kathy Gayle Overfield and Craig Braman of Limestone, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Jeff Overfield of Henderson, Christie Overfield of Kingsport, TN; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Macey Overfield of Henderson, Dalton Overfield of Henderson.

Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday October 28, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Fred Whitmore will officiate.

Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson.

Visitation will be Saturday 4:00 – 8:00 PM and Sunday Noon until service time.
