Kathryn Riggs, age 76, of Henderson

HENDERSON, KY - Kathryn Riggs, age 76, of Henderson, passed away at 6:30 PM, Friday, November 2, 2012, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, KY. She passed away of heart failure after nearly five years in her fight with cancer and heart failure. She put up a good fight but finally gave up to go home to the Lord.

She was born April 16, 1936 to John and Louella Poole in Gracemont Oklahoma. She was baptized into Christ 51 years ago at Henderson Church of Christ where she was a present member.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 2 brothers John and Thomas Poole and a sister Vera Fletcher.

Surviving her are her husband of 60 years Jack, two daughters Debra Myers and her husband Tim and their three children, Jackie, Ashley and Alex, and Diane Riggs and her children Danielle Chrisman and her husband Bobby, David Lindsey and his wife Crystal, and Desiree Green. Eight Great Grandchildren and one sister, Mary Eakle of Oklahoma.

She retired from D&M foods after 30 years.

There will be no visitation. After being sick for nearly five years she wanted her family and friends to remember her from happier times in her life.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 6 at Walnut Grove Church of Christ Cemetery in Union County with Brother Gary Puryear officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Henderson Church of Christ building fund.
