Leo Barkley Capps, age 74, of Henderson, KY

HENDERSON, KY - Leo Barkley Capps, age 74, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 6:25PM of Parkinsons Disease and Pnemonia.

Barkley was a kind, loving father of three boys. He is of Catholic faith but attended Hyland Baptist Church. He loved his church and his Hyland family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Catherine Capps. He had four deceased sisters: Kathleen Dixon, Helena Davis, Dorothy Sauchuck and Betty Baer.

Survivors include wife of 51 years, Sue Capps, 3 sons Marty Capps and wife Tonya, Barkley Capps and wife Teri Jo and Kevin Capps and wife Julie. He had seven grandchildren: Andy Capps and wife Angela, Amanda Talmadge and husband Lance, Brittany Capps, Coben Capps, Zachary Capps, Ashton Capps and Zander Capps. He had 3 great grandchildren: Cade Talmadge, Khierstin Moore and Kaylie Capps. He is also survived by two living sisters, Christine Penrod and Delores Sturgell, both of Equaltiy, IL.

Friends and family are invited to Barkley's Life Celebration from 2:00 - 8:00PM at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home on Friday, December 7, 2012 and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday. Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. Pastor Kenny Kidd will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Hyland Baptist Church and St. Anthony's Hospice.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff of Lucy Smith King Care Center, and especially Nancy Litke.
