Mary Smiley Banks, age 86, of Henderson, KY

HENDERSON, Ky. - Mary Smiley Banks, age 86, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 11:56 AM, Friday, December 21, 2012, at Select Specialty in Evansville, IN.

Mrs. Banks was a member at Immanuel Baptist Temple here in Henderson. She enjoyed serving the community as an Audubon Area Senior Companion.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William Morris Smiley, her son, Jimmy Raney, a grandson, Larry Dones, her parents, George and Leona Basham, siblings: Lucy Katherine, Racheal, Frank, George, Joe, Johnny, Susie, Ella Myrtle, Ida May.

Survivors include:  
6 Daughters: Frankie Bodner and husband Bob Bardstown, KY
Brindria Gilbert Henderson, KY
Bonnie Grant Henderson, KY
Darleene Wimsett and husband Larry Bardstown, KY
Debbie Miller and husband Pat Bardstown, KY
Holly Courtney and husband Harold Henderson, KY
1 Son: Beck Smiley and wife Lisa Reed, KY
2 Sisters: Wanda Woods and husband Larry Uniontown, KY
Martha James Uniontown, KY
1 Brother: Clyde Basham and wife Patty Henderson, KY

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Monday, December 24, 2012 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Reed, KY.

Friends may call from 2:00PM to 8:00PM on Sunday, December 23, 2012 and from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday, at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to The American Cancer Society.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters.
