Gary Fletcher Nance, 79 of Onton, KY

HENDERSON, Ky. - Gary Fletcher Nance, 79 of Onton, KY passed away Saturday December 29, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Webster County, KY on August 30, 1933 to the late Henry Fletcher and Mary Thelma (Dickerson) Nance.

He was retired from I.B.E.W. Local 1701 of Owensboro. He had been chairman of Boy scout troop committee Troop 3.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister; Glenda Nance Ford.

He is survived by his wife; Shirley (Roland) Nance; Sons; Rod (Renee) Nance of Draffenville, KY, Brent (Becky) Nance of Slaughters, KY, Steve Nance of Onton, KY; Daughter; Melissa (Shon) Nance Wright of Onton, KY; Brothers; Ted (Lana) Nance of Onton, KY, Bill Ford of Spottsville, KY; 8 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday January 3, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Pastor Marty Robertson will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday January 2, 2012 from 4:00 until 8:00 and Thursday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Onton United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Jim Cox, Jeff Nance, Jared Nance, Joshua Nance, Brady Wright and Clint Ford. Honorary Pallbearer will be Don Simpson.
